What is the best time of year to visit Grand Baie?
Mauritius has a tropical climate with warm weather year-round. The dry season (May–November) is the most popular, with temperatures of 22–26°C and less humidity. December–April is warmer and wetter, with occasional cyclone risk. Grand Baie's north coast location makes it one of the best-sheltered areas on the island.
Is Grand Baie good for families?
Yes. The calm lagoon beaches at La Cuvette and Pereybère are ideal for children, the water sports scene is accessible for all ages, and the range of restaurants is broad. Grand Baie is Mauritius's most family-friendly resort area.
